For Duck’s Sake

This short narrative film was created as a project for my Intro to Film & TV Production course during my senior year at the University of Notre Dame. In a world where everyone is born with a superpower, Jared Jenkins somehow gets… the ability to turn anything he touches into a rubber duck. Food, alarm clocks, water bottles. Ducks everywhere. As you might imagine, this does not make life easier. Through bullying, family frustration, and through an attempt to help someone in need, this film leans into the absurd to explore feeling useless, being underestimated, and trying to find meaning when your “gift” is more of a curse. Yes, it’s silly. Yes, there are a lot of ducks. And yes, that’s the point. Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe if you enjoyed this! Let me know your favorite duck moment (or whether Jared was robbed of a top-tier power) in the comments.
