Scenes From: Antony and Cleopatra

I performed as Cleopatra, Charmian, and Messenger in the University of Notre Dame’s scene showcase production of Antony and Cleopatra at the renowned Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. This opportunity allowed me to bring Shakespeare’s timeless characters to life in front of a live audience, embracing the challenge of embodying multiple roles within a single production.

My performance was directed by veteran Globe Theatre actress Sophie Russell, whose expertise and direction helped refine my craft. Under her guidance, I developed a deeper understanding of Shakespearean performance techniques and stage presence.

In preparation for the production, I studied the text and conducted classical literary analysis under the mentorship of University of Notre Dame’s Professor Boika Sokolova. This academic foundation enriched my performance, allowing me to approach the script with a nuanced appreciation of its historical and literary significance.
